Built for the walls of a fortress, parade the battlements like the great man himself, immune from the slings and arrows of the people who live the other side of the English Channel.
We have used a British company in Lancashire to make us a waxproofed fabric, it doesn't look it but it is all natural 100% cotton.
Our mens wax jacket has lots of poppers and pockets, chest pockets, big patch pockets, pheasant pockets...
Big full length zip under the central placket which is then closed with poppers for extra protection from the cold (and arrows.)
When new it will stand up on it's own, walk to the bar and order you a pint - once it is worn in it will relax a bit and be more malleable, more friendly but wont be able to get to the bar alone.
care & content: do not machine wash, do not dry clean - simply wash down with cold water and a cloth yourself, don't use a detergent or a cleaner, it will spoil the wax. Do not use a wire brush. Do not bleach. Iron? Iron? Don't be daft.. Obviously wear it under your combat jacket on Ops/Exercise but not at the O group if the RSM is there.
