In this anniversary year of Polar Exploration we wanted to name this coat after one of our great men, we call him Ernest.
We stayed in his house in South Georgia once, he wasn't there unfortunately.
This is a hard wearing cotton canvas coat, not actually that heavy, not heavy enough for Shackleton's purpose but then when will you be in the Antarctic next?
Hooded (for warmth, protection and hiding from the tax man),
high collar (keeps out the wind in the North Stand),
full length zip with a big puller (to make it easy for gloved hands,)
button placket for neatness, (neatness is good)
2 big side entry patch pockets on the front (easy to get your gloved hands in.)
Inside is a bright red lining in cotton and plenty of inside pockets - 2 in the chest region for your wallet and 2 large 'poacher' pockets round the hem (for rabbits.)
care & content: Dry Clean only. Leave it to the professionals, you will not need to clean it often lets face it. 100% Cotton .
